Nintendo Switch eShop sale: 6 discounted games for the holidays

Holidays at the end of the year mean more time to play these games on your to-do list, so it’s especially good that there are more sales going on on Nintendo’s eShop right now.

You need to check out the eShop to see all the many, many discounts that go by. Among them are sales from Ubisoft, Capcom, EA and Bandai Namco – so it all really happens. Below you will find six discounted games that are worth your time this holiday season.

Supergiant games

Released in September, Hades has topped several lists of this year’s games, scoring 9 out of 10 on GameSpot, our sister site. All this makes it particularly exciting that Hades is 20% off the Nintendo eShop and will last until January 2nd.

Another indie treasure for your vacation. Originally released in 2017, Cuphead made very 2D hot again. Inspired by cartoons from the 1930s, this sidescroller is incredibly charming – and surprisingly difficult. It is 30% off until January 2nd.

Stellar Entertainment / EA

One of the big bummers of this generation of games is that there was no new Burnout title. These were some of the best racers on PlayStation 2, and Burnout Paradise was great on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It’s now on contact and $ 25 off.

EA

Unravel Two is a beautiful platform that sees you take control of a little yarn … thing. It’s a sequel to the original Unravel that adds the element of co-op play. Fortunately, you can still play the game solo – which is something you want to do while Unravel Two sells for only $ 5.

Obsidian Entertainment

South Park: The Stick of Truth was originally released back in 2014, but it’s still one of the strongest licensed games you can buy. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the gang behind Fallout New Vegas and The Outer Worlds, this South Park game takes RPG and fantasy tropes. It’s fun (if you like South Park, a major disclaimer) and is $ 12 until August 30th.

A big discount on a good game. Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best fighting games on Switch. It was launched in 2018 with universal recognition and has since been updated with new characters and scenes. That’s a huge $ 50 discount until December 31st.
