Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released their first Christmas card since moving to California, showing 19-month-old Archie’s shock of red hair.
The couple can be seen playing with their young son in the garden of their $ 14.7 million Montecito home with dogs Pula and Guy.
The card was released Wednesday via Mayhew, the British charity for which Meghan, 39, is the patron.
It reads: ‘Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.’ The card is a drawing of a photo taken by Meghan’s mother Doria earlier this month.
A spokesman for the couple said: ‘The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier by this Duchess’ mother.
‘The little Christmas tree including homemade ornaments and other decorations was chosen by Archie and the tree will be replanted after the holidays.’

On the card, Meghan writes: ‘This year, as a family, we have made donations to several charities with you in mind.
‘From a local organization in California that helps families change homelessness, to two of our UK protections: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other a memorial fund for a valued friend who helps educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honored their work on behalf of us all. ‘
Harry, 36, and Meghan moved to Montecito after living in Tyler Perry’s $ 18 million, 12-bedroom, eight-bathroom Beverly Hills home after their move from Canada, after retiring as a senior royal in March.
In November, Meghan wrote for The New York Times about her abortion in July. ‘Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief that many experience but few have talked about,’ she wrote.
The couple, who are understood to be spending the festive period with Doria, recently announced that they have signed a lucrative podcast deal with Spotify worth up to £ 30 million.
They will produce and host their own shows as part of the newly created Archewell Audio – starting with a ‘holiday special’ which the couple hopes will ‘lift audiences around the world’.
