Kirk Cameron throws a maskless Caroling protest outside California Mall

Former child actor Kirk Cameron organized a mostly maskless holiday gathering in a parking lot outside a mall in Thousand Oaks, California Tuesday night to protest the governor-imposed lockdown. Dozens of carolers were visible in videos that Cameron posted online, sang “The First Noel” and stood close together. “We are celebrating our God-given freedoms, our constitutionally protected rights at this time of Christmas to sing Christmas carols, gather, gather and sing about the birth of our Savior,” Cameron told the group. That was at least the second protest Growing pains the actor has organized himself against limitations in a state that paralyzes under the weight of COVID. ICU beds have almost or almost no capacity in several parts of the state.

The mall made it clear that they had no part in the anti-lockdown protest. “With regard to the peaceful protest planned for The Oaks tonight, we do not tolerate this irresponsible – yet constitutionally protected – event. We share your concern and have notified the sheriff’s office, ”the mall wrote on Facebook.
